Special recognition to Marina Punat for significant financing in nautical tourism

Marina Punat received special recognition for the largest investments in nautical tourism at the Nautical Patrol Awards of Jutarnji List in 2023, held this year in Rovinj on September 21, 2023.
The first and largest marina in the northern Adriatic continues its dedication to innovation and investments, paving the way for nautical tourism.

Marina Punat Group is known for its strategic commitment to systematically renovating and innovating all infrastructure to ensure an impeccable experience for boaters. In the same year, two significant investments were realized within the heart of the marina, both in record time.

Last year, Punat Shipyard celebrated its 100th anniversary since its founding. On that occasion, a development strategy for the coming years was presented. A significant aspect of this strategy is a stronger focus on maintaining larger recreational and luxury vessels. With this goal in mind, preparations for a new travel lift with a capacity of up to 500 tons for vessels up to 16 meters wide began. This is the largest lift of its kind on our side of the Adriatic, enabling the lifting and maintenance of larger motor yachts and increasingly popular catamarans. In 2023, the lift was delivered and installed, with operations expected to commence by the end of this year.
Marina Punat will celebrate its 60th anniversary in 2024, marking the establishment of nautical tourism on the Adriatic. To commemorate this milestone, the "Marina" restaurant underwent a complete transformation in less than 12 months. The old restaurant was demolished to its foundations, and a new, larger, and more modern structure was built in its place, featuring a two-story restaurant with multiple thematic areas. What's most significant, though not visible, is the exceptionally large and modern kitchen designed to prepare food according to the highest standards, hinting at ambition in the culinary world. With multiple open and closed terraces, a large lounge area, and stunning views from the intimate upper level, the restaurant offers boaters and other visitors a variety of experiences and ever-changing views of the boats.

Despite being the oldest in this part of the Adriatic, thanks to continuous investments, Marina Punat certainly keeps pace with the times and remains at the forefront of Croatia's nautical offerings.

At the awards ceremony in Rovinj, the Gold Sail was awarded to ACI Marina Rovinj, while the Silver went to ACI Marina Palmižana, and the third place was awarded to Marina Frapa in Rogoznica. The friendliest Croatian marina is Marina Korkyra in Vela Luka on Korčula, and the gastronomy award was given to ACI Marina in Dubrovnik. A special award for ecology went to Cres, once again to an ACI marina.

The Nautical Patrol Award of Jutarnji List is a recognition of quality in nautical tourism presented by one of Croatia's leading daily newspapers - Jutarnji List, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. The nautical expedition, composed of journalists and a nautical jury, has been sailing continuously for seven years from Umag to Dubrovnik, visiting marinas and anchorages along the Adriatic coast and systematically evaluating their offerings. The awards and recognitions are primarily the result of assessments by hundreds of surveyed sailors and then the nautical jury.
